2013 is the year Ram Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab Trucks take capability to the next level.
"With so many new innovative SUVs from which to choose each year, it's always a challenge for Road & Travel Magazine editors to agree on which will make the final cut for RTM's annual SUV Buyer's Guide Top 10 Picks," said Courtney Caldwell, Road & Travel's editor-in-chief, in a press release. "The 2012 Dodge Journey was one of our first and unanimous choices for being such a family functional, well-built and attractive SUV."
The Journey has been selling at an all-time high the past couple of months, currently up 42 percent this year compared to the 2011 model. The company saw a 58 percent increase during the month of August, which set a new all-time sales record for the Journey. This is the fifth time in seven months that the Journey has either set or tied a new all-time record for sales.
The Journey has been highly praised by critics and buyers a like for its storage capacity, technological advances for a car, and the overall design for such a decent price. The Journey can carry up to seven people without them being cramped in, while still having enough space for storage throughout the car. The car includes a front passenger in-seat bin and dual rear seat floor bins.
The car can get up to 26 miles per gallon on the high way, and offers interested buyers a choice of purchasing a four-cylinder or a V-6, something no other cross over offers.
"The Dodge Journey continues to gain momentum in the marketplace, becoming the fastest growing crossover in the U.S., and the ultimate utility infielder," said Reid Bigland, President and CEO, Dodge Brand in a press release. "With class-leading storage, the ability to seat seven and the choice of front- or all-wheel drive, no other vehicle offers such a combination of versatility, style and value, starting at just $18,995."
The Journey has been rated an IIHS Top Safety Pick for four years in a row as well.

"I don't design cars I don't fit into."
I bet for most designers in the auto industry, that's not a bold statement. But for 6'7" Chrysler Group Head of Interior Design Klaus Busse (above, in the back seat of a 2013 Dodge Dart) that's saying something. The 2013 Dodge Dart has more of a "design package," Busse said. That design package, which means using multiple teams within Chrysler Group to look at the entire interior experience for owners, is the result of a close working relationship between the interior and exterior design, engineering and program teams for each vehicle. It's the true team approach that resulted in many features in the Dodge Dart that are uncommon in most compact cars. Below is a quick look at one of the more noticeable features of the new Dart: the interior of a mid-size sedan in a compact car.
The comparisons are just a selection based on data from each automaker’s website. So, we're not answering our headline question with a yes, but let's just say, the Dart is darn roomy.

Chrysler and John Varvatos, two award-winning entities with strong ties to the city of Detroit, have teamed up to create a pair of bespoke luxury sedans that showcase what can happen when the automotive world meets the fashion industry. The 2013 Chrysler 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition and Luxury Edition will both bring a new level of exclusivity to this stylish, full-size sedan.
Varvatos' self-named menswear fashion brand, John Varvatos, has a raw industrial look, but the designer is also heavily infused with the rock 'n' roll scene from his early interest in fashion to his involvement with the VH1 Save the Music Foundation where he is a board member. This mix of industry and rock 'n' roll can easily be seen in the new 300C models.
Each car will get a slightly different look and feel with the 300C John Varvatos Limited Edition coming in an exclusive Phantom Black tri-coat paint job as the basis of the car's dark and sinister appearance. All of the 300's regular bright chrome trim has been replaced by dark titanium accents (on the grille surround, daylight opening trim and the dual exhaust outlets) or black chrome on the front grille. Dark 20-inch, multi-spoke wheels and smoked LED taillight lenses finish off the eye-catching styling, and even Chrysler's signature wing badge has been darkened to match the rest of the exterior. The 300C Luxury Edition gets slightly different look with a platinum chrome mesh grille and polished wheels.
The 300C's fashion makeover gets even more intense inside. Looking like it came right off a John Varvatos runway, the Limited Edition gets features like the pewter metallic leather seats with exclusive Diesel Gray and black stitching to match one of Varvatos' leather jackets. Also, the instrument panel clock and gauge cluster has been redesigned to match the brand's watch design including what should be a stunning pearlescent white face with black bezels. The Luxury Edition's cabin steps things up even more with two color options for the Nappa leather seats and hand-sanded, matte-finished Natural Pore Mocha real wood accents. Both cars come with Chrylser's 8.4-inch UConnect system with a distinct "John Varvatos" screen display.
Chrysler has yet to announce the pricing or availability for either of these models, but it did say that the Limited Edition would in fact be produced in limited numbers.
Despite carrying the 300C name, the Limited Edition and Luxury Edition versions of this car will be available with both V6 and V8 engines as well as optional all-wheel drive. Up until this car, the 300C nameplate was used solely to distinguish cars equipped with the Hemi V8.

Such a simple act – piling into the family vehicle to go to the mall, a picnic or out to eat – wasn’t possible after Alberto’s life-changing accident last summer. Alberto, an energetic 15-year-old from Willimantic, Conn., was paralyzed from the shoulders down in a freak surfing accident at Narragansett Beach in Rhode Island.
The Cruz family didn’t have a vehicle that would accommodate Alberto’s specialized wheelchair. For a time after the accident, the family would transport their son the short distance to his high school in a box truck, securing his wheelchair to the floor with ropes as a family member tightly held the wheelchair in place. That all changed yesterday when Chrysler Group LLC, the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA), and other sponsors presented a new wheelchair-accessible 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan to Alberto and his family at Windham High School as Alberto’s immediate family, relatives, friends, teachers, and even the cheerleader squad celebrated the moment. “This minivan is going to help us out a lot,” said Alberto’s mother Ruth Cruz. “We are a close-knit family and we like to do things together, but we weren’t able to go out as a family. Now, we can get Alberto in the van and just take off.”During yesterday’s minivan presentation, Alberto easily maneuvered his power wheelchair into the lowered floor of the Dodge Grand Caravan using a rear ramp. The wheelchair ramp and other alterations were made by BraunAbility and Ride-Away.
Alberto is one of three national winners of a “Local Heroes” contest that NMEDA created to award three individuals with new wheelchair-accessible vehicles and provide them with a forum to share their stories of triumph overcoming their disabilities and how their customized vehicles will further empower them in their active lifestyles. Despite his grueling therapy sessions after the accident, Alberto chose to continue his schooling and remain connected with his community. This moved his teacher, Lynn Frazier, who nominated him as a “Local Hero.” The community did the rest, rallying around the youth by voting for him online in droves. Immediately following the festivities at the high school yesterday, the Cruz family drove off in their new Grand Caravan to dinner – a Chinese buffet – at Alberto’s favorite restaurant.
